If I could inscribe one thing in the heaven's
It would be your name
For all to gaze upon
To wonder what such beauty deserved such honor
A name of strength and wonder
One of such admiration belongs to such a name
Who am I to be within one's such presence
One who blessed me with a tender kiss
One who held me close in the darkest of hours of my life
You are the one who tame my inner beast
Uncovered my hidden fears, and rid me of them
You turned my heart of granite into flesh
Washed away my blackened soul white with care
You are the sweetness and I'm the bitterness
There under the oak grove
I saw you chanting
Under the light of the Elvin Star
Your voice carried a sorrowful tune of a love long forgotten
Through the ages I have watched you
Even with the night shadowing your complexion
Once we would have greeted each other with arms wide open
But my bitterness spread
Now here in the shadows I realize my own self hatred
How could I have ever have asked one as gentle as you to embrace my beast
When I couldn't embrace it myself
Even now that I have changed
Will you still love me
Though my dangerous past is catching up
You said you could handle anything that came
But you weren't sure
Why would you risk your life to love a lone wolf like me....
There I stood and lied to your face
You knew the whole time what I was doing
You saw through my outer shell
Dark and hateful it was
I used it for so long to shelter myself
Slowly you chiseled away at it
You found
You saw the softer side of me
The more you came across the true me
The harder I pushed you back
Then you would just return stronger than before
Everyone told you I was a lost cause
But you knew otherwise
I would just sit their in class and ignore you
In the halls I tried to avoid you
Like a fungus you ate away at my outer shell
Tryn to get inside
You are my unanswered prayer
The soft voice in the wind calling me home
You are the hand that calms me in this storm called life....
